Workers at Gas Plant

THE INCREASING MARKET POTENTIAL

The biomethane sector will deliver 20% of current EU gas imports from Russia by 2030, the European Commission has announced.

The Commission's REPower EU plan, released on 8 March 2022, marks a decisive step towards the rapid development of Europe's biomethane industry. In its statement, the Commission said that to boost EU production of biomethane, the REPowerEU plan would aim for 35 billion cubic metres (bcm) of biomethane production by 2030, doubling the current EU ambition, using sustainable biomass sources, such as agricultural wastes and residues.

Global Esco has sourced and licensed a 'game changing' Anaerobic Digestion technology which is being made available to the Greek farming community on a plug and play basis. The system offers many advantages over conventional Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) processes, as described in this feasibility study, including:

  • Smaller site footprint

  • Smaller ancillary tanks

  • Faster Reaction time

  • Easily extended to higher capacity or as bolt-on to existing systems

  • Self-cleaning

  • Lower OPEX

  • Higher gas yield per Tonne of substrate

  • Remote monitoring and control

  • Sterilised digestate from thermophilic conditioning

  • In addition, the final proposal may include a converter unit which produces higher quality liquid fertiliser from the digestate residue, supplying added-value EU compliant product for local use, without the need to further treat or pasteurise. The analysis of this supplementary process is outside the scope of this study.

BIOGAS PRODUCTION RE-INVENTED

ANTEC BIOGAS VS A TRADITIONAL BIOGAS PLANT 7 DAYS INSTEAD OF  60 DAYS

3-5 times faster production than traditional biogas plants, in addition to utilizing a larger share of waste - up to 95% gas yield compared to traditional 60-80% gas yield.

FASTER TECHNOLOGY, BETTER END RESULT

  • Our patented technology produces gas 3-5 times faster than traditional biogas plants, in addition to utilizing a larger share of waste - up to 95% gas yield compared to traditional 60-80% gas yield.

  • Follows nature's own digestion phases

  • Antec's patented biogas reactor is designed to accommodate large internal surfaces. On these surfaces the bacteria form a natural biofilm with extremely high bacterial density.

  • The biogas reactor is well insulated, which ensures stable heating throughout the whole digestion process.

  • The plant can use one or several types of input biomass.

THE COW'S DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

It is the cow's digestive system that can illustrate Antec's revolutionary bioreactor, with its four stomachs and over 60 meters of intestines, where the digestion improves with each step.

CIRCULAR

Food waste, animal manure, sewage- or fish sludge are turned into gas, which in turn can be used to produce electricity, heat and fuel. Bio residue is decomposed and can be utilized as fertilizer.
